  12. Thank you for purchasing Disciples of Steel.  In the time between the final
  13. production run of the manual and the final version of the game, several 
  14. features have been added to the game to increase playability.  We hope you
  15. find these features useful.

  17. New Features:
  18.  
  19.         AUTOMAP
  20.  
  21. 1.      Automapping has been added to dungeon exploration.  Pressing 'm'
  22.         or pressing the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON and selecting the dungeon map
  23.         option will bring up a map of the surrounding dungeon area that
  24.         has already been explored.  Use the ARROW KEYS or the LEFT MOUSE
  25.         BUTTON to scroll the map in various directions.  Depress the 
  26.         'SpaceBar' to recenter the automap. Use the ESCAPE key or the RIGHT 
  27.         MOUSE BUTTON to exit the map screen.
  28.  
  29.         DIFFICULTY LEVELS
  30.  
  31. 2.      Due to the variety of people playing Disciples of Steel, a difficulty
  32.         level selection has been added to the configuration menu.  This menu
  33.         can be accessed by LEFT CLICKING on the ???? icon in the lower middle
  34.         of the screen.

  36.         AUTO-SELECT IN SHOPS
  37.  
  38. 3.      While selling items in the shops, pressing 'a' or the RIGHT MOUSE
  39.         BUTTON will auto-select all non-equiped items.
  40.  
  41.         WORLD MAP CHANGES
  42.  
  43. 4.      When roaming the world of Lanathor, pressing 'm' or selecting World
  44.         map through the menu will bring up an overhead map of Lanathor.  
  45.         In this screen, pressing 'c' will cycle through the cities of 
  46.         Lanathor and pressing 'p' will cycle through various important points
  47.         of interest through Lanathor.  Pressing 'x' or the ESCAPE key will
  48.         close the map.

  50. 5.      AUTOPOOL
  51.  
  52.         A check box appears on the disciple selection menu.  When checked,
  53.         all available money will be automatically pooled to the selected
  54.         disciple.  This will speed up all finacial transactions, but will
  55.         take away from disciple individuality.

  58. Note:   Pressing the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON while moving about the world, cities,
  59.         or dungeons of Lanathor will bring up a menu of possible activities
  60.         while in that area.

  63. Memory Requirements:
  64.  
  65.         Disciples of Steel now requires 545,000 to run in basic mode
  66.         (ie. No Sound or Music).  To include music an additional 20,000
  67.         bytes are required (565,000) and to include sound effects 15,000
  68.         bytes are needed (560,000).  To run Disciples of Steel in its
  69.         full glory a total of 580,000 bytes are required.

  71.         Disciples of Steel still requires 512K XMS available for its use.

  74. Strategies:
  75.  
  76. 1.      Be sure to include 8 members in your party with a wide variety of
  77.         skills.
  78.  
  79. 2.      Make sure and read the Introduction and Quick Start sections of your
  80.         manual.
  81.  
  82. 3.      While in combat, use the aim option (ie. 'a') if you are having
  83.         problems hitting an opponent.
